so, im considering going to BYU in a couple of years, and i currently live in the UK. I was wondering, is it possible to take out a student loan in the UK, as i am a UK citizen, but use it at an overseas university?
BYU has a special website that can help you explore the options.

No you can’t!
A large part of your student loan is paid directly to the university to cover your fees. they will not pay fees to an overseas university and without applying for a fees loan you cannot get a maintenence loan (meant to cover rent, materials and living costs)
there is a scheme that will lend you money to study in europe (if you are an EU citizen) but not in the US – you will have to fund it yourself or get a scholarship from the university.
